Description
Ridge Pinot Noir hails from a cool, eastern slope in the Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge with low-vigour, stony, clay-rich Bokkeveld shale soil. Ridge Pinot Noir harvest commenced on the 22nd of February. Slightly warmer maximum temperatures were documented during the months of December, January and February, the crucial months leading up to and during harvest. The preceding winter was our wettest in 24 years and was followed by an unusually (and usefully) dry September facilitating healthy, even budding.
The 2022 vintage delivered beautiful, layered, generously textured wines. This vintage is a favourite, showing opulent perfume, beautiful balance and focus.
Only 6.156 bottles were produced for this vintage.
