Cassis with blackberry and baking spices invites one into the glass. The aroma further develops into a mixture of red and black fruit notes with cigar box spices in the background. Palate Flavours of ripe black cherry and juicy ripe fruit develop into a full, balanced taste with a long, memorable finish. This vintage showing a more firmly structured wine than it’s recent predecessors, it remains true to the elegance and finesse that Anno 1693 is known for! A serious wine showing powerful ripe fruit flavours with perfectly integrated tobacco spices. Approachable tannins with an energetic, youthful freshness that lingers.
Vinification and Maturation:
Small French Oak barrel maturation for 12 months. Further ageing took place in bottle for 30 months prior to release. This wine will age well over the next 15+ years with proper cellaring
