After retiring as cellarmaster at L'Avenir, Pinotage specialist Francois Naudé started consulting some top producers for Pinotage wines in South Africa. He was convinced that by blending the best Pinotage wines from different wineries, he could do the perfect Pinotage wine: Le Vin de Francois.
Tasting Notes: a deep crimson colour and a nose of sweet black fruit like ripe cherries, rupe plum pudding and a touch of marzipan that is echoed on a palate. The fine tannins are perfectly balanced with well integrated wood flavours, that ensures a long and lasting aftertaste.
A great wine that will benefit continously with perfect maturation over many years.
