The 2022 vintage of De Toren Fusion V reflects a refined expression of terroir, marked by both vibrancy and depth. This wine is distinguished by its expressive aromatic profile. The bouquet opens with abundant red fruit aromas, plush cranberry and red cherry, layered seamlessly with hints of blackcurrant and subtle spice, reminiscent of nutmeg and clove, with a delicate undertone of graphite adding intrigue.
The palate is medium to full-bodied, polished, and well-balanced, offering a standout juiciness that brings the wine to life. Vibrant freshness carries flavours of red cherry, dried cranberry, and rounded blackberry across the mid-palate, while a nuanced savoury edge begins to unfold. Lively acidity enhances the intensity and precision of the fruit, while well-integrated oak plays a subtle, supportive role. Fine tannins provide a pleasing grip, guiding
the wine to a long, poised finish with a lingering touch of graphite.
