Go to the shopThe philosophy of the family-run business Springfield is: "Good wine is grown, not made"
Springfield Estate lies on the banks of the Breede River in the Robertson valley surrounded by mountains. The siblings Abrie and Jeanette Bruwer are running this farm which is full of tradition in the ninth generation. The family Bruères came already in 1688 to the Cape, being Hugenots they escaped the religious war in Europe.
Not only the different soil types are the reason for the high quality of the Springfield wines, but as well the innovative and unconventional techniques that Abrie is using. Abrie grew up in the vineyards and is keen in constant improvement.
Winelovers will enjoy hand-made wines full of tradition, quality and individuality.
