Most of the wine matured in oak barrels, with 30% new wood; a small portion spent time in terracotta amphora. Opened in 2005, it has long placed particular emphasis on Cabernet Sauvignon. Winemaker Louis Strydom has been part of Ernie Els Wines for more than two decades and is a member of the Cape Winemakers Guild.
